Banque Populaire V takes Mediterranean Record

B&G WTP2 equipped Banque Populaire V, skippered by Pascal Bidégorry, have shattered the Marseilles, France, to Cartharge, Tunisia, record.

Banque Populaire crossed the line in a time of 14 hours 20 minutes, taking nearly 3 hours off the existing record.

The record was previously held by Franck Cammas's team on Groupama 3 with a time of just over 17 hours. Groupama 3's Jules Verne record will be the target for the Banque Populaire V team at the end of 2010.
