We are excited to announce a significant software update (2.3.213) for the Nemesis range of instrument displays. This release introduces a suite of new features designed to provide sailors with more control, better visibility, and deeper integration with the B&G sailing ecosystem.
Drawing on feedback from our professional sailing community and internal SQA teams, this update enhances the versatility of Nemesis, ensuring it remains the most powerful data visualization tool on your yacht.
Key New Features
- Integrated Autopilot Control: A new dedicated autopilot status gauge and dashboard allow for seamless monitoring. You can now enable automatic dashboard switching, ensuring your autopilot data is front and center the moment the system is engaged.
- Direct Commissioning: For the first time, users can commission B&G autopilots directly through the Nemesis, streamlining the setup process.
- Hercules® WTP Integration: In a major win for Grand Prix racers, Nemesis now supports unlimited configurable User Channels from the Hercules® WTP Sailing Processor, allowing for near-infinite data customization.
- Enhanced Visualization: New user-configurable Radial and Bar gauge widgets now include target values, helping you stay on pace and on wind.
- Dashboard Portability: Easily share or back up your bespoke setups with the new Import/Export functionality for dashboard layouts.
Improvements and Visibility Enhancements
We’ve refined the user experience to ensure data is legible in the most demanding marine environments:
- Optimized Contrast: The default display theme has been updated to "Light" to match B&G chartplotters and provide superior contrast in direct sunlight.
- Maximised Readability: We’ve increased digit sizes and added an XXL caption size option to ensure critical data is readable at a glance from the mast or the cockpit.
- Custom Alignment: Users can now align captions (Left, Middle, Right) to perfectly fit their custom dashboard layouts.
- Smarter Unlocking: The screen unlocking process has been improved, offering the choice between a short or long swipe to suit your preference.
- New Data Functions: Full support for Time to Burn and Mast Twist data functions is now included.
How to Update Your Nemesis Display
Updating your software is a straightforward process completed via an internet connection.
- Connect: Ensure your Nemesis display is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection.
- Check: Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update.
- Download: Select Check for Updates. The display will automatically find, download, and prepare the latest software in the background.
